MMMA Wins CAREER4SEA Educational Award

MOL Magsaysay Maritime Academy (MMMA) received the SAFETY4SEA’s CAREER4SEA Educational Award last December 16. The CAREER4SEA Educational Award is a distinction given to the organization – university, maritime, or other institution – with advanced maritime education, and an industry leader that develops young generations in shipping.

Annually, SAFETY4SEA honors outstanding organizations that contribute to the growth and development of the maritime industry through education and other opportunities. This year’s awarding was held virtually where institutions with excellent practices in attracting and supporting the new breed of seafarers were recognized.

In this year’s awarding, MMMA was bestowed with the CAREER4SEA Educational Award for being a premier maritime higher educational institution in the Philippines and the Asia-Pacific region which produces globally competitive maritime professionals through relevant, progressive, and unparalleled education founded on excellence, discipline, and service.

Attended by Dr. Michael C. Morales, President of MMMA, the awarding ceremonies was held during the CAREER4SEA Virtual Forum and broadcasted through SAFETY4SEA’s YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn channels.

"This award affirms our commitment to produce globally competitive merchant marine officers through unparalled educational programs that are rooted in our core values of excellence, discipline, and service," said Dr. Morales in his acceptance speech.
