Magsaysay Learning Resources, Inc. (MLRI) welcomed twelve South African cadets through a Cadet Enhancement Program (CEP) induction ceremony for the Vuka Marine at Magsaysay Institute of Shipping (MIS) campus in Cavite on August 3.
The ceremony marked the beginning of a transformative three-month training journey managed by Magsaysay Training Center (MTC). The program emphasizes theoretical instruction and subject-based learning, designed to enhance the cadets’ maritime knowledge and skills.
MTC welcomed the cadets into the Enhancement Program, which aims to empower young maritime professionals—both locally and internationally—through structured development. The program also integrates Learning & Development (L&D) soft skills training, ensuring that cadets are equipped not only with technical expertise but also with essential interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
This induction marks a significant milestone in the cadets’ maritime careers, laying a strong foundation for their future success in the global shipping industry and aligning with MLRI’s commitment to shaping globally competitive skill sets.
