MGSI and MIHCA Conduct Career Information Session

Japan has preferred to hire more Filipino workers where over 100,000 jobs will be available in the next five years. Opportunities open include positions in hospitality, housekeeping, technical, and caregiving, among others. In line with this, Magsaysay Global Services, Inc. (MGSI) and Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts (MIHCA) jointly conducted a Career Information Session for Filipino workers who want to pursue a career in Japan. Attended by 118 participants, the informational event was held last July 16 at the Robert Hall, Times Plaza Building in Manila.

During the session, Jestine Orpia, Account Officer of MGSI, discussed important details regarding the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration's (POEA) requirements and guidelines. Justine Portuguez, Language Training Officer of MIHCA, was also invited to talk about the importance of learning the Japanese language and its culture. An open forum was facilitated by MGSI's Dinbo Macaranas and Jasmin Villanueva where they answered queries about the application process and provided career guidance.

A series of information session has been scheduled within the year to accommodate more participants who are interested to learn about the documents and training required for a successful career in Japan.
