Cheaper Branded Medicines Can Now Be Accessed by Magsaysay People

Last July 23, an agreement was signed between Magsaysay represented by Marlon R. Rono, President, and Zuellig Pharmaceuticals, a leading healthcare distribution specialist in the Philippines, represented by Jojit Aguilar, Chief Operating Officer. This will allow all seafarers, employees and their families an access to cheaper branded medicines and vaccines.
 
The project is called Happily Healthy Program. The initial drive of this project is the Mass Vaccination Program, offered vaccines at the Health Hub are for flu, pneumococcal disease, cholera, cervical cancer and typhoid. This will be followed, in due time, by providing cost-effective medicines for chronic illnesses such as hypertension, heart disease, stroke, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases and diabetes. The program will also allow crews to order medicines online through the Happily Healthy website.
 
The Happily Healthy Program was created paralleled with Magsaysay’s core value of caring for its seafarers and their families and in line with the corporate social responsibility thrusts. The ceremonial MOA signing took place at the Robert Hall Times Plaza Building, Manila.
