MIHCA Partners with Shanghai Wusongkou Cruise Training Company

The Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts (MIHCA) signed a memorandum of agreement with China-based Shanghai Wusongkou Cruise Training Company Ltd. (SWCT) last December 13, 2017 at Magsaysay Building in Manila, Philippines. SWCT is the training arm of Shanghai Wusongkuo Cruise International Terminal, Asia’s top cruise terminal that handles about three million passengers per year.

Under the agreement, SWCT shall endorse Chinese candidates for hotel skills training at MIHCA’s Philippine campus this 2018. The training program covers topics such as Housekeeping Operations, Food and Beverage Operations, Front Office, and Personality Development. The agreement also calls for a Philippine study tour of college students of Shanghai Jiguang Polytechnic College of Tong ji.

The MOA signing was attended by Jihui Qian, Chairman of SWCT; Cathy Cai, General Manager of SWCT; Alina Fan, Marketing Manager of SWCT; Captain Bao Ren Song, Managing Director of Shanghai Huayang Maritime Tech Co., Ltd.; Zhaogiang Wu, Vice Dean of Shanghai Jiguang Polytechnic College; Marlon Roño, President of Magsaysay People Resources Corporation (MPRC); Patrick Maxwell, Vice President of MPRC; Paolo Guevara, President of MIHCA; and Alvin Gonzales, Marketing Manager of MIHCA.
