AIDA Cruises, Germany’s leading cruise line and top employer awardee, in cooperation with Magsaysay Maritime Corporation (MMC), held its week-long AIDA Recruitment Caravan in Cebu and Boracay. This year’s caravan was conducted in preparation for the delivery of AIDAnova in 2018. The AIDA’s newest vessel will be the first cruise ship in the world to operate with 100 percent LNG (liquefied natural gas) with nearly zero emissions.

The first leg of the caravan was held on October 11 to 14, 2017 at the MMC Office in Cebu City and the second leg kicked off last October 13 at the Malay Action Center in Boracay Island. The event recruited 314 candidates who will occupy hospitality positions onboard AIDA vessels specifically in the Housekeeping, Galley, F&B, Spa, Photo, and Provision Departments.

The AIDA Recruitment Caravan was spearheaded by AIDA’s Imke Mecke, Senior Manager for Recruitment; and MMC’s Deanne Joyce Vallar-Ruiz, Fleet Director for AIDA; Michaela Inna Monteverde, Fleet HR Officer for AIDA; Jayson Ereno, Talent Sourcing Manager; Dennis Belaras, Sourcing Team Lead; Bri-John Dalhag, Branch Manager of MMC Cebu; Izhar Pepito, Sourcing and Placement Specialist of MMC Cebu; Myra Hingpit, Western Visayas Regional Manager; and Hiyas Kristine Homena, Western Visayas Sourcing and Recruitment Specialist.
