Magsaysay Receives Green Award Certification

April 20, 2017 — Magsaysay Maritime Corporation (MMC) officially joins the network of Green Award incentive providers. MMC is the first manning company recognized by the Green Award Foundation. MMC received the Green Award certificate in an official ceremony held at Times Plaza Building, Manila, Philippines.

Green Award certificate holders are ships and shipping companies that demonstrate excellent performance and care for the People and the Planet, while aiming at responsible and sustainable profit making. This certification is a major proof that MMC, one of the world’s trusted providers of skilled manpower and human resource solutions for the global shipping and cruise industries, has proved its dedication to high quality, safety and environmental standards. Being a recognized Incentive Provider is a significant opportunity for MMC to rally behind Green Award’s vision for safer and cleaner shipping.

Jan Fransen, Executive Director of Green Award Foundation, awarded the plaque to Marlon R. Roño, Executive Chairman of MMC. Magsaysay management team were also present during the awarding ceremony namely Arnold B. Javier, President of MMC; Alexander E. Querol, President of Magsaysay Learning Resources, Inc.; Captain Joselito J. Navales, Cluster HR Director of MMC; Nori M. Leonidas, Cruise Group Head of MMC; Luis V. Abuyo, Fleet HR Director of MMC; and Alfonso A. Pablo Jr., Crew and Family Relations Head of MMC.
