Held last September 10, 2016 at the Crown Legacy Hotel, the event gathered over 400 vacationing crew and their families from the Northern Luzon Region. The region is home to over 1,800 MMC-deployed officers and crew members.

Vacationing crew and their families were joined by Marlon R. Roño, Executive Chairman of MMC; Arnold B. Javier, President of MMC; Nori M. Leonidas, Cruise Group Head of MMC; Captain Joselito N. Navales, Dry Cargo Cluster Head of MMC; Alfonso A. Pablo, Jr., Crew and Family Relations Head of MMC; and MMC Fleet Directors. Besides the raffle draws and games, MMC also recognized Chief Cook Roberto S. Marquez for his 20 years’ loyalty and commitment to service. The award was presented by Marlon R. Rono; Arnold B. Javier; and Captain Joffrey Laguatan, Fleet Director of MMC.

The event also included a Health Awareness Talk on the Dengue Virus from Dr. Sheilah Via Mapalo, after which Health Hub Pharmacists administered the free dengue vaccination to 20 lucky members of the Magsaysay Multi-Purpose Cooperative.

Family gatherings are annually celebrated as the company’s way of showing its appreciation for the invaluable contribution of its Filipino crew. Furthermore, events such as this give vacationing crew and their families a chance to bond together and enjoy good fellowship with their Fleet Directors.
