Enesel Limited recently conducted the Filipino Seafarers’ Forum 2016 in cooperation with Magsaysay Maritime Corporation (MMC), its manning agency in the Philippines. The event was held on March 7 at Robert Hall, Times Plaza Building in Manila.

The forum brought together Enesel’s Filipino crew members, representatives, and MMC executives to discuss issues on safety, security and resilience. The forum provided an important platform to exchange views and address the various challenges facing seafarers today, such as stress and fatigue management, effective communication, safety drills and training procedures, proper anchoring procedures for large vessels, and developing resilience by building the right culture onboard. The speakers for the sessions were Enesel’s Georgios E. Poularas, Director; Amalia Marcou, Crew Manager; Kostas Karlos, Crew Manager; Evdoxia Kydonaki, Crew Operator; Erwin Derlagen, Technical Director; Vlasia Papadopoulou, HSQE Manager; Capt. Periklis Dinakis, Operator; and Capt. Gabriel Andreou, Director.

The forum was attended by 43 officers and crew. The participants were also joined by MMC’s Alexander E. Querol, Chief Operating Officer; Arnold B. Javier, Vice President – Head of Shipping; and Paul Gutierrez, Fleet HR Director.
