MAGCOOP Opens The Cabin

January 29, 2016 – Magsaysay Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MAGCOOP) officially opened The Cabin, an innovative lodging house crafted from shipping containers. The ribbon cutting ceremony, led by MAGCOOP’s Chairman of the Board Eduardo U. Manese, Vice-Chairman Capt. Francisco D. Menor, General Manager Marlon R. Roño, and Board of Directors Joy S. Hernaez and Syntyche O. De Jesus, was followed by the blessing of rooms and facilities led by Father Ramon Magana. Members of the Board Alexander E. Querol, Arnold B. Javier, Nori M. Leonidas, Evelyn Mata, and Avelina Laud were also present during the opening ceremony.

The Cabin is comprised of seven colorful shipping containers converted into air-conditioned bunk bed rooms with own toilet and bath. This unique accommodation is open to Magsaysay employees, vacationing crew members and their families. Additionally, guests will have a relaxing time outdoors as the ground and second floors boast of spacious verandas.

The Cabin is the newest addition to MAGCOOP's business lines. It is located at 1023 Cortada Street, Ermita, Manila, Philippines.
