Gearbulk Opens Manila Office

28 May 2012- Gearbulk, the owner and operator of the world’s largest fleet of open hatch gantry and fixed- crane vessels, formally opened its Business Service Center in Manila, Philippines in cooperation with Magsaysay’s BPO unit, Global Process Manager, Inc.
The Business Service Center will initially hire 60 Filipino staff that will support Gearbulk’s global operations.  Gearbulk established its support operations in the Philippines because of the availability of competent and capable people who could support their goal to serve customers in the most efficient way possible.
The move comes as part of a major review of the company’s structure to ensure that Gearbulk continues to be a leader in the pulp and aluminum markets whilst building a platform for new opportunities and sustainable future growth.  Initially, Gearbulk’s Business Center in Manila will be providing back-office support functions such as vessel operations support, accounting and IT.
